Doha, September 08 (QNA) - Assistant Undersecretary for Land Transport Affairs at the Ministry of Transport Eng. Abdullah bin Saif Al Sulaiti met Tuesday with a World Bank delegation headed by Regional Practice Director for Infrastructure, Middle East, North Africa, Afghanistan, and Pakistan Almud Weitz.

The meeting reviewed areas of cooperation between Qatar and the World Bank in the transport sector and ways to further strengthen and develop them, particularly in infrastructure, public transport projects, freight logistics corridors, and public-private partnerships for project financing.

A number of Ministry of Transport officials also participated in a World Bank workshop held at the Ministry's headquarters to discuss areas of cooperation and explore opportunities to draw on the Bank's expertise in supporting and developing Qatar's transport sector. (QNA)
