The Amiri Diwan
The Amiri Diwan is the seat of rule of the State of Qatar. It is the sovereign body and the administrative office of HH The Amir. It acts as a nexus between His Highness and all governmental and non-governmental bodies internally and externally. Among its manifold tasks and responsibilities, it keeps HH The Amir abreast of the most important developments locally and internationally, submits to him draft laws and other legislative instruments for perusal and approval, and delivers his instructions to the concerned authorities.
Ministry of Interior
Ministry of Interior in the State of Qatar is the authority responsible for maintaining security and order within the country. It manages internal security, traffic, civil defense, immigration and passport affairs, and crime prevention. The ministry focuses on ensuring stability and safety by modernizing its security forces and developing technical systems. It also plays an important role in enhancing security services and training through specialized academies.
Government Communications Office
Government Communications Office was established to coordinate communications activities across government and semi-government institutions and to showcase the country’s vision, initiatives, and achievements. To be the strategic communication arm of Qatar’s government, providing the guidance and support needed for government and semi-government professionals to deliver effective public campaigns and strengthen the State of Qatar’s communications landscape.
Ministry of Education and Higher Education
Ministry of Education and Higher Education is the government entity charged with supporting and regulating education in Qatar. That includes a full array of K-12 public and private schools and high-quality institutions of higher education.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Introduce the State globally; disseminate information about its cultural values and policies; and protect its interests abroad. Develop the necessary proposals for foreign policy planning and implementation in coordination with the concerned authorities in the State. Conduct the necessary contacts and discussions to pave the way for concluding agreements and treaties, and make arrangements and procedures related to their conclusion, implementation and supervision. Conduct contacts with the Qatari ministries and authorities, foreign governments and their diplomatic missions and the regional and international organizations.
Ministry of Justice
Ministry of Justice is concerned with everything related to judicial affairs, and in particular the following: Acting on behalf of the State and government agencies in defending it in the cases brought by it or against it inside and outside the state in accordance with the law. Supervising the practice of the legal profession. Recording legal actions, documenting and ratifying official documents. Publication of the Official Gazette. Reviewing draft contracts and draft agreements concluded by ministries and other government authorities in accordance with the law. Training legal employees in government authorities with the aim of developing their capabilities and practical skills. Spreading and developing legal awareness. Supervising the real estate registration process.
