Qatar Women's Sports Committee Hosts Workshop on Fatima bint Mubarak Women's Sports Award
Doha, September 07 (QNA) - The Qatar Women's Sports Committee held an introductory workshop on the ninth edition of the Fatima bint Mubarak Women's Sports Award, scheduled for 2025.
The event took place at the headquarters of the Qatar Olympic Committee and was attended by a delegation from the award's organizing committee in the United Arab Emirates, alongside a group of athletes, administrators, and representatives from Qatar's sports federations.
Assistant Secretary of the Women's Sports Committee, Maha Yousef Al Abduljabbar, described the award as a leading Arab initiative for empowering women in sports.
She highlighted Qatar's ongoing efforts to elevate women's athletics and support female champions across various disciplines.
She also noted the significant progress made in women's sports in Qatar, citing achievements and participation at both regional and international levels.
She expressed hope that Qatari athletes would continue to excel and secure honors through the award.
Executive Director of the Qatar Women's Sport Committee, Amna Al Qasimi, called on all Qatari athletes, administrators, and coaches to actively engage in the upcoming edition, emphasizing the importance of showcasing the strength and development of women's sports in the country. (QNA)
