Doha, June 08 (QNA) - The 3rd Indian Mango Exhibition (Hamba Exhibition), will take place at Souq Waqif's Eastern Square starting June 18, and will run for 10 days.

Organized by the Private Engineering Office and the Embassy of India in Qatar, the event will see the participation of 35 companies.

The exhibition established itself as one of the region's leading seasonal specialty events, benefiting from the growing popularity of Qatar's touristic and cultural calendar.

Drawing more than 114,400 visitors, the previous Hamba Exhibition attracted significant public interest, with sales exceeding 130,000 kilograms of about 54 types of Indian mangoes, alongside a diverse range of related food products such as pickles, desserts, and Indian cuisine.

This year's event is expected to see the largest participation since its inception, with more than 35 Indian companies taking part, in contrast to 30 companies last year.

Several new Mango varieties will be introduced to the Qatari market for the first time during the event.

In this context, Hamba Exhibition general supervisor, Khalid Saif Al Suwaidi said that holding the event for the third consecutive year reflects its tremendous success.

Originally meant as a one-time event, the Hamba Exhibition's huge public turnout led organizers to turn it into an eagerly anticipated annual event.

This year's visitor and sale figures are expected to surpass those of previous years, particularly due to the higher number of participating companies, the wider variety of products, and the introduction of new mango varieties to Qatar.

The exhibition will welcome visitors daily from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM. (QNA)
