4.4-Magnitude Earthquake Hits Fiji Islands
Suva, August 04 (QNA) - An earthquake measuring 4.4 on the Richter scale struck the coast of the Fiji Islands in the South Pacific on Tuesday.
The US Geological Survey reported that the epicenter of the tremor was at a depth of 514 kilometers.
There have been no reports of casualties or material damage due to the earthquake so far.
The Fiji Islands are located in the Ring of Fire in the Pacific Ocean, which is exposed from time to time to frequent aftershocks and earthquakes that may be strong. (QNA)
