Ankara, September 20 (QNA) - Trabzonspor routed visiting Galatasaray 4-0 on Saturday in the headline match of the sixth round of the Turkish Super Lig.

Trabzonspor's emphatic victory was powered by Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, who scored three goals and assisted on another to take his league tally to seven and move to the top of the scoring chart.

Salah opened the scoring in the fourth minute before setting up Portuguese forward Noah Saviolo for the second goal in the 39th. He added his second in the 44th minute and completed his hat trick in the 80th, his first three-goal performance since joining Trabzonspor.

The victory moved Trabzonspor to 10 points in fifth place, three points behind leaders Galatasaray, who remained on 13 points after suffering their first league defeat of the season.

Salah leads the league scoring chart with seven goals, one ahead of Nigeria's Victor Osimhen and Gift Orban and Uzbekistan's Eldor Shomurodov.

Elsewhere in the round, Kocaelispor beat Gaziantep 2-0, Alanyaspor defeated Corum 2-1, Kasimpasa drew 0-0 with Konyaspor, and Istanbul Basaksehir cruised to a 4-0 victory over visiting Genclerbirligi. (QNA)
