Egyptian Foreign Minister Discusses Sudan, Libya with US President's Adviser
Cairo, September 05 (QNA) - Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty and Senior Adviser to the US President on Arab and African Affairs Massad Boulos spoke on the phone Saturday to discuss developments in the Sudan crisis and the evolving situation in Libya, as well as ways to strengthen security and stability in both countries.
In a statement, Egypt's Foreign Ministry said both sides addressed ongoing actions and contacts aimed at halting the escalation in Sudan and addressing the persistent deterioration in the humanitarian situation.
As such, Abdelatty underscored the importance of building on current efforts to cease the conflict and ensure the unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid to those in need.
Regarding the evolving situation in Libya, the conversation focused on ways to create the necessary conducive conditions for making progress in the political process. (QNA)
