Qatari Aircraft Carrying Field Hospital Lands in Colombia to Support Earthquake Victims
Bogota, September 04 (QNA) - A Qatari Armed Forces aircraft arrived in the Republic of Colombia carrying a fully equipped field hospital, provided by Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) to support the people of Colombia and help mitigate the suffering caused by the earthquake that hit the country recently.
The field hospital is meant to support Colombian health authorities and medical facilities in earthquake-affected areas, providing urgent healthcare to affected people, thus contribute to strengthening the healthcare sector's capacity and ensuring the continuity of medical services during the emergency response stage.
The Qatari International Search and Rescue Group, of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), is participating in equipping and delivering the hospital to ensure the swift commencement of medical services for beneficiaries.
The deployment of the field hospital to Colombia reflects the State of Qatar's unwavering commitment to humanitarian solidarity, crisis response, and providing vital assistance to communities affected by natural disasters.
