60,000 Palestinians Perform Friday Prayer at Al Aqsa Mosque
Occupied Jerusalem, September 04 (QNA) - 60,000 Palestinians performed Friday prayers at the Al Aqsa Mosque, despite strict Israeli occupation measures, according to the Islamic Waqf Department in Jerusalem, while occupation forces prevented dozens of young men from reaching it, and arrested a young man at Bab Hatta in Jerusalem's Old City.
Israeli occupation forces also set up iron barricades in the city's streets, around the Old City, and near Al Aqsa Mosque, stopping worshipers to check and record their identity cards.
These tightened measures coincide with ongoing settler incursions into Al Aqsa Mosque under the protection of occupation police, alongside escalating security measures aimed at limiting the presence of worshipers in its courtyards, particularly on Fridays and religious occasions. (QNA)
