Israeli Forces Renew Incursion into Quneitra, Syria
Damascus, September 04 (QNA) - Israeli occupation forces renewed incursions into southern Syria Friday, entering Ofaniya village in the Quneitra countryside, setting up a checkpoint, and searching passersby.
Yesterday, occupation forces fired mortar shells near Bat Al Warda hill in Damascus countryside and invaded Um Batina and Ofaniya in Quneitra with military vehicles to set up temporary checkpoints.
On September 1, forces abducted a young man west of Al Rafid in southern Quneitra, while ten military vehicles entered Jamla village in the Daraa countryside.
The Syrian Foreign Ministry recorded 65 incursions in July, 52 in early August, and 147 detentions since January, with 49 individuals remaining in custody alongside home raids in Quneitra and Damascus countryside. (QNA)
