Qatar's Ministry of Social Development and Family Marks Gulf Family Day 2026
Doha, September 17 (QNA) - The Ministry of Social Development and Family has arranged a panel discussion to mark Gulf Family Day 2026, showcasing the importance of dialogue within families to build a cohesive and sustainable society.
The panel was organized in collaboration with Kanaf Parenting Center and coincided with a ministry campaign aimed at raising awareness regarding the family's role in protecting children's psychological and social development in the digital age.
Participants highlighted the family's status as a fundamental pillar of social and economic development, as well as its role in preserving Gulf values and national identity in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030.
Key topics included digital parenting, the family's role in guiding children toward the safe and responsible use of technology, ways to foster psychological and social balance, and positive family practices that contribute to stability and cohesion.
The event also featured an introductory video showcasing Kanaf Parenting Center's programs aimed at fostering a safe and stable family environment for children.
Fatima Al Nuaimi, director of the ministry's Family Development Department, said the event reflected the ministry's commitment to strengthening the family's status as the primary incubator for values and principles.
She added that dialogue within the family helps build relationships based on trust, respect, and understanding, while empowering family members to navigate contemporary social and psychological challenges.
Al Nuaimi hailed the observance of Gulf Family Day as a significant occasion to highlight the family's role in preserving cultural and social heritage, instilling authentic Gulf values, and strengthening family bonds. (QNA)
