Doha, September 17 (QNA) - The State of Qatar participated in the 76th meeting of the Committee of Undersecretaries of the Ministries of Finance of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states.

Deputy Undersecretary for Economic Affairs at the Ministry of Finance Dr. Saud bin Abdullah Al Attiyah represented Qatar during the meeting, which convened Their Excellencies the finance ministries undersecretaries from the GCC countries.

Participants discussed the outcomes of recent committee meetings covering central bank governance, the GCC Customs Union Authority, tax administration, and the Gulf Common Market. Discussions focused on strengthening coordination to accelerate economic and developmental integration among member states.

The committee also examined the General Secretariat's progress report on regional measures, the status of free trade agreement negotiations with international blocs, and strategic initiatives designed to achieve economic unity across the GCC. (QNA)
