Iraqi Premier, French President Discuss Bilateral Ties, Regional Updates over Phone

Baghdad, August 08 (QNA) - Iraqi Prime Minister, Ali Faleh Al Zaidy and French President, Emmanuel Macron discussed bilateral ties and boosting cooperation, particularly in the economic and investment sectors, during a phone call Saturday.
According to the Iraqi Prime Minister Media Office, both sides also addressed several regional issues of mutual concern, foremost among them efforts to reduce tensions and enhance security and stability in the region.
It added that the Iraqi Prime Minister reaffirmed Iraq's commitment to building balanced relations with neighboring countries and not allowing its territory to be used to threaten their security.
Al Zaidy also noted that September 30 has been set as the final deadline for the withdrawal of coalition forces from Iraq.
For his part, the French President affirmed his country's support for Iraq's efforts to combat corruption and implement economic reforms. (QNA)
