Oman and India Discuss Hormuz Security and Regional Developments
Muscat, July 10 (QNA) - Oman's Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi has held talks with his Indian counterpart Subrahmanyam Jaishankar on regional and international developments, including maritime security in the Strait of Hormuz.
Jaishankar, who is on an official visit to Oman, discussed with Albusaidi on Friday the situation affecting shipping and navigation through the strategic waterway, as well as the implications for global trade, energy supplies and international supply chains.
The two ministers stressed the importance of continued coordination and consultation on these developments, and expressed support for efforts to promote dialogue and cooperation with all parties in line with international law and the interests of countries in the region.
They also reviewed ways to strengthen the strategic partnership between Oman and India, with discussions focusing on expanding cooperation in trade, investment, energy, logistics and emerging technologies. (QNA)
