Qatar Extradites Wanted Suspect to US Over Organized Crime Charges
Doha, July 10 (QNA) - Qatar's Ministry of Interior has announced the extradition of an Asian national wanted by the United States to face multiple serious criminal charges linked to transnational organized crime.
In a statement on Friday, the ministry said the extradition followed a joint security operation involving the Ministry of Interior, the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) and the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), coordinated through the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol).
The ministry said the suspect had been referred to Qatar's Public Prosecution to complete the necessary legal procedures before a decision was issued to hand the individual over to the US authorities in accordance with applicable legal processes. (QNA)
