HH the Amir Receives Phone Conversation From Pakistan Prime Minister
Doha, July 10 (QNA) - HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani has received a phone call from HE Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, to discuss bilateral ties and the latest regional and international developments.
The conversation on Friday focused on cooperation between their countries and explored ways to strengthen relations, alongside efforts to support security and peace in the region.
HE Sharif expressed his country's full support and solidarity with the State of Qatar amid the current regional developments, stressing the importance of restraint, dialogue and diplomacy to preserve recent gains in regional stability.
The Pakistani prime minister also praised the State of Qatar's role in supporting peace efforts and said Islamabad looked forward to continuing coordination with Doha to promote peace, stability and prosperity across the region.
The two leaders also discussed ongoing diplomatic efforts, including talks between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran, and underscored the need to continue efforts to reduce tensions and resolve disputes through peaceful means.
HH the Amir and HE the Pakistani Prime Minister reaffirmed their commitment to continued coordination on regional security, including safeguarding maritime security and shipping lanes, and supporting conditions for a lasting and sustainable peace in the region. (QNA)
