Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Attends Doha Institute's 10th Cohort Graduation Ceremony

Doha, May 21 (QNA) - HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani attended Thursday the graduation ceremony for the 10th cohort of master’s students from the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies, in the presence of a number of Their Excellencies the Ministers, Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies Dr. Azmi Bishara, and several board members.
Held at the Sheraton Doha Hotel, the ceremony celebrated the graduation of 246 students, including 163 from the School of Social Sciences and Humanities and 83 from the School of Economics, Administration, and Public Policy. The graduates represent 32 nationalities, including 100 graduates supported by the Qatar Fund for Development through the State of Qatar Scholarship Program for International Students. The 73 graduates are Qatari nationals.
HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, HE Vice Chairman of the Institute's Board of Trustees Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Ali bin Saud Al-Thani, President of the Doha Institute Dr. Abdelwahab El-Affendi, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Amal Ghazal, and the deans of the colleges presented the certificates to the graduates. HE Director of the Diplomatic Institute at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Abdulaziz Al Horr also participated in presenting certificates to the graduates of the executive master's program in Diplomatic Studies and International Cooperation, offered by the Doha Institute in partnership with the Diplomatic Institute.
With the graduation of this cohort, the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies has celebrated the graduation of ten cohorts since its establishment, totaling 1,886 graduates. Many of these graduates have continued their academic pursuits by enrolling in doctoral programs at prestigious universities around the world, while others hold professional, academic, and research positions in local, regional, and international institutions.
The Institute currently offers 20 internationally accredited master's programs across its two schools: the School of Social Sciences and Humanities and the School of Economics, Administration and Public Policy, as well as eight doctoral programs. (QNA)
