Doha, May 17 (QNA) - The Qatari men's national volleyball team guaranteed themselves a podium finish at the 4th GCC Games in Doha after securing a decisive straight-sets victory over Oman.
The host nation dominated the match with set scores of 25-17, 25-13, and 25-13, leveraging an impressive defensive net presence and powerful spike attacks to close out the final two frames rapidly.
In another second-round fixture of the four-team round-robin tournament, Bahrain also recorded their second consecutive win by sweeping the United Arab Emirates in straight sets.
Following these results, Qatar and Bahrain sit tied at the top of the standings with six points each, while Oman and the United Arab Emirates remain without a point.
The final round of matches will feature a gold-medal decider between undefeated Qatar and Bahrain, with the runner-up taking the silver medal, while Oman and the United Arab Emirates will compete in the remaining fixture to determine the bronze medalist.  (QNA)
