Doha, January 22 (QNA) - Umm Salal Sports Club announced the dismissal of French head coach Patrice Carteron from his position as head coach of the club's first football team.

In a statement published today on the club's official account on the X platform, Umm Salal confirmed the end of Carteron's tenure with the club and expressed its appreciation for his efforts during his time in charge of the team.

Umm Salal had appointed the French coach in June last year for his second spell with the club. Carteron first took charge of Umm Salal in July 2023, before leaving in November 2024 to join Iranian side Sepahan Isfahan.

Umm Salal's results have declined this season, with the team falling to the bottom of the Qatar Stars League standings. The club currently sits in 12th and last place with nine points after 13 rounds. (QNA)
