Doha, June 04 (QNA) - The State of Qatar and the Kingdom of the Netherlands have discussed bilateral relations and ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing regional tensions.
HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani received a telephone conversation on Thursday from HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands Tom Berendsen.
The conversation focused on strengthening cooperation between Doha and Amsterdam and discussed the Pakistan-led mediation efforts involving the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran. The two sides also addressed broader international initiatives aimed at de-escalating tensions in the region.
HE Sheikh Mohammed stressed the importance of all parties engaging constructively with ongoing mediation efforts, emphasizing that dialogue and peaceful means remain essential to addressing the underlying causes of the crisis.
He said successful mediation could help pave the way for a lasting agreement that would prevent a renewed escalation and contribute to greater regional security and stability.
The discussion comes amid continued diplomatic activity by regional and international actors seeking to reduce tensions and encourage a negotiated resolution to disputes involving Washington and Tehran. (QNA)
