Doha, June 04 (QNA) - HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani received a telephone call on Thursday from HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Republic George Gerapetritis to discuss bilateral relations and ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing regional tensions.
The conversation reviewed cooperation between the State of Qatar and the Hellenic Republic and explored ways to further strengthen ties between the two countries.
The ministers also discussed Pakistan's mediation efforts between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The call included discussions on coordinating support for mediation efforts designed to reduce escalation and help reinforce regional security.
During the conversation, HE Sheikh Mohammed stressed the importance of all parties responding positively to ongoing mediation initiatives. He said constructive engagement could create an opportunity to address the root causes of the crisis through dialogue and peaceful means.
He added that a sustainable agreement would be key to preventing renewed tensions and advancing long-term stability in the region.
The exchange comes amid heightened diplomatic activity involving regional and international partners seeking to encourage dialogue and avert further escalation between Washington and Tehran. (QNA)
