Doha, February 07 (QNA) - The Doha-hosted Arab Police Cross-Country Championship has come to a close, after having been held concomitantly with the convention of the 49th Electoral General Assembly Meeting of the Arab Police Sports Federation (APSF), the 119th and 120th Executive Office Meetings of APSF, as well as the APSF's Golden Jubilee Celebration.
Attending the championship were President of the Qatar and Arab Police Sports Federations, Maj. Gen. Khalid bin Hamad Al Attiyah, alongside heads of the Arab sports federations, with the participation of 89 players representing 19 Arab nations.
They competed in singles and team categories amid epic atmospheres that demonstrated the sportsmanship spirit and good contest, thereby embodying the values of discipline and willingness characterized by the Arab police apparatuses.
As the tournament wrapped up, Tunisian player Mohamed Ibrahim Jreidi clinched the gold medal in the singles competition, followed by Morocco's Abdelwahid Ashour taking silver, and Egypt's Abdullah Adel Hassan securing bronze.
In the team standings, the Morocco national team captured first place, Tunisia finished second, and Egypt came in third. (QNA)
