Washington, August 18 (QNA) - US President Donald Trump said the United States has full control of the Strait of Hormuz and that Tehran is suffering under a blockade.
Speaking to reporters, Trump said Iran's inflation rate has reached 300% and described the country as being in chaos, with its military completely collapsed.
He said Iran wants a deal with Washington but is not ready to accept the necessary conditions, stressing that the US objective is to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.
Trump also called on Iranian officials to raise the white flag of surrender, describing them as taking their last breaths under economic pressure and the blockade. (QNA)
