Russia Destroys 2 Ukrainian Cargo Ships Transporting Weapons
Moscow, August 17 (QNA) - The Russian Ministry of Defense announced today that it had targeted two cargo ships at the ports of Odesa and Mykolaiv, which it said were transporting weapons and ammunition for Ukrainian forces.
In a statement, the ministry added that warehouses containing Ukrainian military equipment had also been destroyed.
It said that the Russian Armed Forces continue to target vessels and port infrastructure used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
On Sunday, the Russian Armed Forces had targeted three cargo ships and two oil tankers at the port of Odesa, which Russia said were being used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The Russia-Ukraine war continues to escalate amid ongoing military operations by both sides and attacks on infrastructure and vital facilities, while Moscow and Kyiv issue daily statements reporting military losses and successes that are difficult to verify independently. (QNA)
