OIC Condemns Occupation's Plans to Displace Palestinian People
Jeddah, September 6 (QNA) - The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has condemned the racist statements made by ministers in the Israeli occupation government regarding the plan to displace the Palestinian people from the Gaza Strip.
The organization affirmed that this constitutes ethnic cleansing, a grave violation of international law, and a crime against humanity that warrants accountability before the relevant international judicial bodies.
In a statement issued today, the OIC emphasized that the Gaza Strip is an integral part of the occupied Palestinian territory. It warned of the dangers of these Israeli plans, which aim to uproot the Palestinian people from their land, directly threatening regional and international peace and security and undermining international efforts to achieve peace based on the two-state solution.
The statement called on the international community, particularly the Security Council, to take deterrent measures against the Israeli occupation's plans to alter the demographic, geographic, and political reality in the occupied Palestinian territory, considering these measures null and void and illegal under relevant UN resolutions.
