Doha, August 26 (QNA) - The Qatar Sports for All Federation (QSFA), operating under the umbrella of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, has concluded its 2026 summer program. The program featured a wide range of sports, recreational, and awareness activities for school students, with the aim of making productive use of the summer vacation, promoting physical activity, and developing participants’ abilities and skills.

Organized in cooperation with several government and private entities, educational institutions, sports clubs, and youth centers, the program attracted broad participation from male and female students. Lusail Sports Hall hosted an eight-week camp for boys and girls aged 6 to 11, featuring sports and recreational activities as well as awareness lectures on traffic laws, civil defense, and first aid.

The program also included Muay Thai and self-defense training for boys under the age of 17 across more than 16 sports, youth, and educational institutions. It also offered swimming lessons for children aged 7 to 14 at Al Arabi and Al Wakra clubs, along with training in sailing, kayaking, chess, and physical fitness.

QSFA Executive Director Abdullah Al Dosari said the strong turnout for the program, along with cooperation from various entities and families, reflects the importance of investing the summer vacation in positive activities that help develop young people’s abilities, refine their sports skills, and expand their knowledge.

He added that, through its programs and events, the Federation is committed to encouraging children and youth to continue engaging in physical activity and to avoid excessive use of electronic screens, helping to promote a healthier, more active, and more energetic lifestyle. (QNA)
