Doha, November 25 (QNA) - Spanish coach Pablo Machin will assume the leadership of Umm Salal SC, the club announced Monday.

The ex-Sevilla manager will replace French Patrice Carteron, who requested to terminate his contract after receiving an offer from Iranian side Sepahan FC.

The 49-year old Machin is aware of the Gulf football, having coached Al Ain of the UAE and Al Raed of Saudi Arabia.

He will lead Umm Salal's training in preparation for their Week 11 Ooredoo Stars League clash against Al Arabi SC on December 8. (QNA)
