Qatar Condemns Renewed Iranian Attacks on Jordan, Bahrain and Kuwait
Doha, July 21 (QNA) - The State of Qatar has strongly condemned renewed Iranian attacks against Jordan, Bahrain and Kuwait, including the targeting of the Kuwaiti tanker Kaifan while transiting the Strait of Hormuz.
In a statement on Tuesday, Qatar's Foreign Ministry said the attacks constituted a "flagrant violation" of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the three countries, posed a serious threat to maritime security and global energy supplies, and breached international law, the UN Charter and the principles of good neighborliness.
The ministry warned that the continued attacks represented a grave escalation that could undermine efforts to contain regional tensions and weaken political and diplomatic initiatives aimed at achieving security and stability.
Doha called for an immediate and complete halt to all military actions and attacks threatening regional security, urging all parties to avoid further escalation, return to dialogue and negotiations, and uphold understandings reached through diplomatic efforts.
The ministry also reaffirmed the State of Qatar's full solidarity with Jordan, Bahrain and Kuwait, and expressed support for any measures they take to safeguard their sovereignty and security. (QNA)
