Doha, November 22 (QNA) - Belgium and Canada will make their first appearance at the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Wednesday when the sides meet in the Group F opener at Ahmed Bin Ali Stadium.

Led by Roberto Martinez, Belgium national team are ranked No. 2 in the world after Brazil, and have high chances to win the game given their great experience gained by participating in the World Cup 14 times, in addition to a squad that includes a host of the most prominent players in Europe and the world, most notably Kevin De Bruyne of Manchester City, and Eden Hazard of Real Madrid.

On the other hand, Canada national team, led by English coach John Herdman, make their first appearance at the World Cup for 36 years. However, the team defied expectations to top the final group of CONCACAF qualifying ahead of the United States and Mexico and earn an automatic qualifying place at Qatar 2022. (QNA)
