Nagoya, September 18 (QNA) - HE President of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) and Qatar Olympic Committee Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani took part in the final stage of the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games torch relay on Friday.
The relay was held at Hisaya Odori Park in Nagoya, with the participation of OCA vice presidents, representatives of national Olympic committees and other sports figures.
The Asian Games torch, symbolizing the aspirations of athletes across the continent, began its journey in Tokyo on August 18 before traveling through Hiroshima and Nagoya, as well as several municipalities and schools.
The 20th Asian Games officially open on Saturday, with athletes from 45 national Olympic committees competing until October 4. (QNA)
