Doha, November 22 (QNA) - Morocco's National Team will start the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 with a match against Croatia on Wednesday at 1:00pm at Al-Bayt Stadium, as part of Group F matches, which also involve Belgium and Canada.
The task in front of the Moroccan National Team will not be easy against Croatia, the runners-up of World Cup 2018, but Manager Walid Regragui's squad are determined to defend their chances and repeat the achievement of the World Cup Mexico 1986 when Morocco reached the second round.
The Moroccan Team arrived in Doha early and began preparations, which included a friendly match against Georgia in the UAE that ended with a victory.
Manager Regragui is counting on a group of prominent players from major European leagues, including PSG's Achraf Hakimi, who is used to scoring despite his position as right-back. Additionally, there is Chelsea's star Hakim Ziyech and Sevilla's striker Youssef En-Nesyri, along with more distinguished players.
On the other hand, the Croatian National Team are looking for victory in order to avoid any surprises that might undermine their chances of qualifying for the second stage, especially since they will face Belgium in their final match in this group.
Croatia's Manager Zlatko Dalic relies on stars with great experience, led by Real Madrid's star Luka Modric, as well as Inter Milan's Marcelo Brozovic and Chelsea's star Mateo Kovacic. (QNA)
