Shura Council Speaker: Qatar Honored All Its Commitments for Hosting an Exceptional FIFA World Cup Edition

Doha, November 20 (QNA) - HE Speaker of the Shura Council Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim stressed that, thanks to the wise leadership's directives, the State of Qatar honored all the commitments it made 12 years ago to host an exceptional World Cup edition, something that is coming true now in World Cup 2022. His Excellency added that Qatar continues its achievements in successfully hosting major sporting events.

His Excellency said in remarks to Qatar News Agency (QNA) that the State of Qatar was reaping the rewards of 12 years of work, adding that it is clear to see the dream of HH the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani come true during the rule of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani.

His Excellency added that the country will continue with its achievements under the leadership of HH the Amir, proving to the world that its the region's beating heart and that its a destination that welcomes everyone.

HE Shura Council Speaker stressed that the State of Qatar was and continues to be a hospitable country, adding that tolerance a key principle engrained in it by its religion, and Arab authenticity deep-rooted in its people. (QNA)
