Qatar Classic Hailed for High-level Competition and Strong Organization
Doha, September 18 (QNA) - Qatar Squash Federation Secretary-General and Qatar Classic Tournament Director Tareq Zainal praised the high standard of competition at the 2026 QTerminals Qatar Classic, following the crowning of Egypt's Amina Orfi and Mostafa Asal as women's and men's champions.
Zainal said the tournament featured intense matches between some of the world's leading players, with the women's final lasting 107 minutes. He also praised the strong attendance and the contribution of spectators to the atmosphere throughout the event.
He said the tournament's success was the result of coordinated efforts by the organizing team and expressed his hope of further developing the event and strengthening its position on the international squash calendar.
Qatar Squash Federation Executive Director Saad Al Mohannadi also praised the tournament's success, saying several players had described the Qatar Classic as one of the strongest events on the professional squash tour.
He thanked the organizing committee for its efforts in maintaining the tournament's international standing. (QNA)
