Kuwait Condemns Houthi Attacks on Saudi Arabia
Kuwait, September 08 (QNA) - Kuwait expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of Houthi attacks targeting civilian and economic sites in several cities across Saudi Arabia, resulting in injuries to dozens of civilians, including women and children.
The ministry said in a statement on Tuesday that the attacks constitute a flagrant violation of Saudi Arabia's sovereignty, a direct threat to the safety of its citizens and residents, and a breach of international law and international humanitarian law, representing a dangerous and unjustified escalation that could undermine regional security and stability.
The ministry also condemned the continued targeting of commercial vessels in the Red Sea, which poses a direct threat to the security and safety of maritime navigation, global energy supplies, and international trade.
The ministry affirmed Kuwait's full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its support for all measures taken by the kingdom to safeguard its sovereignty, security, stability and interests, and to protect its people and residents. It stressed that the security of Saudi Arabia is an integral part of the security of Kuwait and the Gulf Cooperation Council states. (QNA)
