Doha, September 06 (QNA) - The GCC Consultative Lab for Training and the Knowledge Economy Sector was launched on Sunday, organized by HH International Training Center in cooperation with Qatar Chamber.

The one-day forum brought together experts and specialists from GCC countries to discuss the current and future landscape of vocational training in the private sector, exchange regional experiences, and explore ways to align training systems with labor market needs and future skills.

The Lab featured a panel discussion with representatives from Qatar Chamber, the Arab Center for Training and Educational Development for the Gulf States, Qatar University, the Diplomatic Institute at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Qatar National Commission for Education, Culture and Science, Ras Laffan Emergency and Safety College, as well as training-sector investors and independent trainers.

Participants also highlighted the importance of continuous learning, international standards in training content, effective tools for measuring

training impact, specialized vocational training, and clearer governance and regulatory frameworks for the private training sector.

They stressed the importance of aligning training content with relevant international indicators and standards, and working to include them in the design, implementation, and evaluation of training programs, in order to enhance the quality of training outputs and increase their ability to keep pace with global trends. They also pointed out the importance of enabling training providers to use tools to measure the impact of training programs, in order to ensure the evaluation of their effectiveness, the quality of their outputs, and the extent of their impact on actual performance.

They also addressed the importance of specialized training and its rapid development, noting the importance of partnership between government agencies, the private sector and training bodies to develop the vocational training system. (QNA)
