Doha, September 04 (QNA) - Al Shamal came from behind to beat Al Shahaniya 4-2 at Al Bayt Stadium in the third round of the Qatar Stars League.
Abdelkarim Hassan opened the scoring for Al Shamal in the 24th minute, but Francesco Antonucci equalized from the penalty spot in first-half stoppage time.
Abdulaye Traore put Al Shahaniya ahead in the 59th minute before the dismissal of Andreas van Beek in the 73rd minute changed the game.
Al Shamal took advantage, with Mouaffak Awad scoring twice in the 80th and 90th minutes. Baghdad Bounedjah added a fourth in the ninth minute of stoppage time.
The victory moved Al Shamal to seven points and temporarily top of the league, while Al Shahaniya remain eighth with three points. (QNA)
