Pakistani Military Announces Killing of 48 Militants in Balochistan Operations
Islamabad, September 04 (QNA) - The Pakistani military announced Friday that security forces killed 48 militants in intensive operations across Balochistan province over the past three days.
According to a military statement, 36 militants were killed in the last 24 hours across Mastung, Quetta, Kalat, and Sibi, including 26 in Quetta's Shaban area. Weapons and explosives were destroyed.
This follows 12 militants killed in a separate operation in Kalat on September 2, bringing the three-day toll to 48.
Military data shows over 1,188 militants killed in Balochistan since the start of the year amid escalating insurgent attacks.
The Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies recorded 89 attacks in August alone, causing 76 deaths, while security operations killed 115 militants that month. (QNA)
