Doha, September 25 (QNA) - Director of the Libraries Department at the Ministry of Culture and Director of the Doha International Book Fair Jassim Ahmed Al Buainain affirmed that Qatar's participation in the 25th Amman International Book Fair underscores its commitment to strengthening its presence in regional and international cultural arenas, supporting the publishing industry, and highlighting Qatari intellectual output while broadening horizons for institutional cooperation.

Al Buainain stated that this engagement builds on a series of Qatari participations in major Arab and international book fairs. It aims to showcase Qatar's dynamic cultural landscape, promote national publications and initiatives, and facilitate the exchange of expertise with publishing industry stakeholders.

He highlighted that such international platforms provide valuable opportunities to connect authors, publishers, and readers, allowing audiences across the region to discover diverse literary and intellectual experiences.

He added that the Amman International Book Fair serves as a prominent cultural forum, fostering dialogue and enriching the cultural scene through its wide array of seminars, lectures, and workshops.

Al Buainain emphasized that the Ministry of Culture continues to maintain its international presence to deepen cultural ties with fraternal and friendly nations, celebrate the book industry, and position Qatari cultural output within a broader civilizational context.

The 25th Amman International Book Fair runs through October 3, featuring approximately 400 local, Arab, and international publishing houses, with Qatar represented by the Ministry of Culture alongside several Qatari publishing institutions. (QNA)
