Islamabad, September 24 (QNA) - Pakistan announced Thursday morning that it had carried out airstrikes on 10 locations in Afghanistan.

In a statement on X, Pakistani Information Minister Attaullah Tarar said Pakistan’s air defense systems had detected, tracked and neutralized all the intruding drones before they could reach their intended targets.

He added Pakistan subsequently conducted precision aerial and drone strikes against 10 locations in Afghanistan that were used for launching and storing the drones.

The Minister said the strikes were deliberate, precise, calibrated and proportionate and were limited to identified military objectives directly linked to the attempted attacks against Pakistan.

He expressed his country's condemnation of the deliberate and illegal incursion of drones into Pakistani territory on Wednesday, which were launched from Afghan territory, adding that this act is a blatant violation of Pakistan's sovereignty and territorial integrity, and represents a grave and unacceptable act of aggression.
