Doha, September 21 (QNA) - The State of Qatar and the Republic of Djibouti signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Monday to enhance cooperation and the exchange of institutional expertise in the fields of endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic affairs.
The MoU was signed on behalf of Qatar by HE Minister of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs Ghanem bin Shaheen bin Ghanem Al Ghanem and on behalf of Djibouti by HE Minister of Islamic Affairs and Endowments Moumin Hassan Barreh.
The memorandum aims to establish a sustainable institutional framework for expanding areas of partnership and facilitating the exchange of successful practices in developing endowment operations. It also seeks to implement joint initiatives and programs that contribute to promoting Islamic values and serving the community.
The signing of the MoU is in line with the strategic plan of the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs to strengthen regional and international partnerships and complements the social and human development pillars of the Qatar National Vision 2030. (QNA)
