Doha, September 21 (QNA) - The Police Academy, through the Police Officers Institute, organized a specialized scientific lecture on security leadership in the era of artificial intelligence, highlighting the importance of keeping abreast of rapid technological developments and their impact on state-of-the-art security operations.
Attended by HE Legal Advisor to HE the Minister of Interior and General Supervisor of the Police Academy, Maj. Gen. Dr. Abdullah Yusuf Al Mal, the event brought together a pantheon of department directors, committee chairs, assistants, and officers.
The lecture featured presentations of working papers by international experts, with Spanish expert Ramses Gallego, a cybersecurity strategy and digital transformation expert, alongside American expert Mark Fretzer, a leadership expert and executive consultant, drilling down on the historical evolution of technology, culminating in the AI boom.
The two experts also addressed leadership best practices that help retain human capital.
The event concluded with a panel discussion focused on mechanisms for addressing emerging security challenges. The participants underscored the importance of striking a strategic balance across the gamut, from leveraging cutting-edge, AI-powered technologies to enhance security efficiency to deepening the pivotal role of the human element in security decision-making.
