Muscat, September 14 (QNA) - Chief of Staff of the Omani Armed Forces Rear Admiral Abdullah bin Khamis Al Raisi met Monday with Secretary-General of the Islamic Military Counter-Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) Maj. Gen. (Pilot) Mohammed bin Saeed Al Moghedi during his visit to the Sultanate of Oman.

Both sides explored areas of cooperation and ways to foster the IMCTC-Oman partnership in the areas of counter-terrorism, capacity-building and expertise exchange so as to help support regional and international efforts to fend off terrorist threats and strengthen security and stability.

They likewise discussed the role of IMCTC's Initiative Financing Fund, its objectives and operational paths, as well as its role in funding strategic initiatives that are a priority for member states, in addition to executing outstanding programs and sustainable projects in a variety of counter-terrorism fields.
