Baghdad, September 12 (QNA) - Iraqi President, Nizar Amidi on Saturday strongly condemned the attacks targeting Saudi Arabia and affirmed, "Iraq does not accept the use of its territory or airspace as a launchpad for aggression against neighboring countries."
In his statement, President Amidi added, "protecting Iraq's sovereignty and maintaining its relations with its regional neighbors is the responsibility of the State and its constitutional institutions."
The Iraqi President affirmed his "support for the measures taken by the government following these attacks," stressing the "necessity of continuing investigations and taking all legal actions against anyone proven to be involved or responsible, in a manner that ensures such attacks do not recur."
"Iraq is keen on its relations with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and all neighboring countries, and on consolidating security and stability and protecting the interests of the region's peoples, free from any practices that could jeopardize these relations or harm Iraq's security and stability," Amidi said.
