Doha, August 08 (QNA) - The State of Qatar welcomed the statement issued by the members of the Security Council on August 7, which condemned the missile attacks launched by the Houthi group against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia since July 13, as well as attacks against commercial vessels since July 22.

In a statement on Saturday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Qatar's full appreciation for the statement's emphasis on adherence to international law and relevant Security Council resolutions, particularly Resolution 2216, and its rejection of actions that threaten regional security and the rights and freedoms of maritime navigation.

The Ministry reaffirmed Qatar's full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its support for all measures taken by the Kingdom to safeguard its sovereignty and security. It further stressed that Saudi Arabia's security is an integral part of Qatar's security and the security of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states. (QNA)
