Gaza, August 08 (QNA) - A Palestinian was killed and others were injured today by Israeli occupation forces in different areas of the Gaza Strip.

Medical sources said the one Palestinian was killed after being shot by Israeli occupation forces east of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza.

Five Palestinians, including children, were also injured by Israeli occupation forces in the cities of Khan Younis and Rafah in southern Gaza. Some of the injuries were described as serious.

Local sources said several people were wounded when an Israeli tank opened fire on tents sheltering displaced people in Khan Younis. Among the injured was a woman who was critically wounded.

A girl was also seriously wounded by Israeli occupation army fire in the al-Mawasi area of Rafah, in southern Gaza.

Earlier today, health authorities in Gaza announced that the death toll from the genocidal war waged by Israeli occupation forces on the Gaza Strip had risen to 73,384, with 174,242 others injured since October 7, 2023. (QNA)
