Cairo, August 31 (QNA) - The Arab League strongly condemned renewed Iranian attacks targeting the United Arab Emirates and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

In a statement on Monday, Arab League Secretary-General Nabil Fahmy categorically rejected the attacks, which represent a blatant violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the two countries and a clear breach of international law and the UN Charter.

He stressed that targeting the security or territory of any Arab state under any pretext is completely unacceptable.

The Secretary-General expressed full solidarity with the UAE and Jordan and support for measures they take to protect their security, sovereignty and territorial integrity, affirming that their security is an integral part of Arab national security.

He also rejected Iran's justifications for its attacks on Arab states, calling on Tehran to respect their sovereignty.

He stressed that preserving regional security and stability requires adherence to international law, prioritizing dialogue and responsibility, and avoiding actions that could widen the escalation or endanger the region's security and peoples' interests. (QNA)
