Tatarstan President, UNA Chief Discuss Media Cooperation
Kazan, August 30 (QNA) - President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Director-General of the Union of OIC News Agencies (UNA) Muhammad bin Abd Rabbo Al Yami discussed ways to expand media cooperation between Tatarstan and the Union, on the sidelines of the fifth Kazan Global Youth Summit.
The two sides discussed ways to strengthen coordination and implement joint programs and initiatives in support of their shared goals and interests.
During the meeting, Al Yami presented President Minnikhanov with the UNA Medal for Media Diplomacy, making him the first president to be awarded the medal. The medal recognizes his efforts and contributions to supporting media work, fostering communication and understanding, and strengthening cooperation among media institutions in Tatarstan and the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC)
The meeting also highlighted the role of media in fostering closer ties and communication among peoples and cultures, as well as the importance of supporting media initiatives that contribute to building sustainable partnerships and strengthening media cooperation between Tatarstan and OIC member states.
