Moscow, August 27 (QNA) - Russia's Foreign Ministry on Thursday warned that any renewed escalation in the Strait of Hormuz could disrupt global energy markets and threaten supply security.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said shipping traffic through the strait had fallen 95 percent, while Brent crude reached about USD 120 per barrel during the peak of tensions before declining to around USD 86.
She warned that renewed tensions, particularly ahead of the heating season, could worsen global supply pressures, reaffirming Moscow's commitment to OPEC+ cooperation to support oil market stability and energy security. (QNA)
