Bangkok, August 22 (QNA) - President of the Qatar Cricket Association (QCA), HE Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Saud Al-Thani has been elected as a member of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Executive Board for 2026, representing the QCA.
The election took place during the ACC Annual General Meeting 2026, held in Bangkok on Saturday, with representatives from the host country, Qatar, several Gulf Cooperation Council states and a number of Asian cricket associations in attendance.
HE Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Saud Al-Thani's appointment reflects Qatar's growing role in the development and promotion of cricket at the regional and continental levels. It also marks an important step toward expanding Qatari representation in sports decision-making bodies across Asia.
