French President: Paris to Send Interceptor Missiles to Ukraine
Paris, August 22 (QNA) - French President, Emmanuel Macron on Saturday announced that Paris will send additional interceptor missiles to Ukraine in order to provide it with all the means necessary to defend its airspace.
During a phone call with his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Macron expressed his shock and sadness following the latest Russian strikes that targeted a shopping center in Ukraine.
All countries with similar resources should join efforts to support Ukraine, which is facing a shortage of interceptor missiles, said the French President.
For his part, the Ukrainian President said that he discussed with his French counterpart, Kyiv's shortage of air-defense capabilities, adding that Macron pledged to accelerate the delivery of new equipment to Ukraine. (QNA)
